DS PENSKE Heads to Tokyo for the City’ First-Ever Night Double-Header

After showcasing front-running pace during the Asian campaign, DS PENSKE arrives in Japan for the final stop of the championship’s Asian leg and one of the most anticipated events of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 12.
Returning for its third edition, the Tokyo E-Prix will make history this year by hosting the city’s first-ever night double-header. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Tokyo Big Sight, Rounds 14 and 15 will see the all-electric championship race under the lights for the first time in the Japanese capital, promising a spectacular atmosphere and an unforgettable weekend of competition.
The 2.575 km street circuit combines long, high-speed straights with a series of tight, technical corners, creating a layout that rewards precision while offering multiple overtaking opportunities. Saturday’s 36-lap race will feature the strategic Pit Boost, adding another tactical dimension to the battle, while Sunday’s 33-lap contest will place the emphasis on energy management and race execution.
With two races on the schedule, DS PENSKE has two valuable opportunities to strengthen its championship position. The team arrives in Tokyo following impressive qualifying performances in both Sanya and Shanghai, where Maximilian Günther and Taylor Barnard consistently demonstrated the pace to challenge at the front. The objective this weekend will be to transform that qualifying speed into front-row starting positions and convert strong performances into valuable championship points.
Racing beneath the Tokyo skyline, the stage is set for an action-packed weekend featuring intense wheel-to-wheel battles, strategic Pit Boost decisions, and all the excitement of Formula E under the stars. As the championship enters a decisive phase, every point will matter, making Tokyo another crucial opportunity for DS PENSKE to continue its push in Season 12.
