Monte-Carlo, Monaco — The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to the iconic streets of Monte-Carlo this weekend for an unprecedented double-header in the Principality, marking the first-ever back-to-back races in Monaco’s storied series history. Following a thrilling international tour through Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, the European leg begins in grand style on the French Riviera. It will mark the eight time that the series finds itself competing on the most famous racetrack on earth, this Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 at 15:05 local time.
The legendary 3.337-kilometre circuit winds through 19 challenging turns, hugging the harbour and weaving past Monte-Carlo’s most recognisable landmarks.
Renowned for its glamour and ruthless layout, the Monaco E-Prix remains a crown jewel on the calendar, and now for the first time, fans will experience twice the drama across two intense race days.
This double-header format brings unique strategic depth to the weekend. Saturday’s race will feature the return of the Pit Boost, offering DS PENSKE drivers a critical decision point to gain a competitive edge. Jean-Éric Vergne and Maximilian Günther will look to capitalize on this tactical element as they push for points and podiums in the narrow confines of the principality.
As the lights go out against the backdrop of the glittering Riviera, DS PENSKE is set to make its mark on the historic tarmac, twice, this Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Jean-Éric Vergne, DS PENSKE Driver – 2018 & 2019 Formula E Champion
‘Monaco is always special, but a double-header here? That is next level!
We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure the car is dialled in for the circuit’s unique demands. We have shown strong pace in recent rounds, and now it is time to convert that into solid points. The whole team is locked in, I am not just here to participate, I am here to fight for every position and bring home the best possible outcome for the team!’
Maximilian Günther – DS PENSKE driver
‘A fantastic weekend ahead of us with a double header in the Principality. Every time again it’s really special and unique to race in Monaco, even more so because I’m able to call it a home race. The layout is famous, such a great and enjoyable flow around the streets here. Qualifying has a high importance and the pit boost race on Saturday will be spectacular again. We come here well prepared, focused on ourselves and hungry for a strong weekend.’
