DS PENSKE is set for a thrilling home race as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to Florida this Saturday, 31 January, for the 2026 Miami E-Prix. Now in its third edition, the event marks a milestone as Formula E races for the first time at the Miami International Autodrome.
In front of 9,000 spectators expected in the grandstands, the all-electric field will tackle a 2.320-kilometre circuit featuring 14 technical corners, designed to push both drivers and machines to the limit. The race distance of 39 laps promises an intense blend of strategy, precision, and flat-out speed.
Racing on home soil, both DS PENSKE drivers arrive highly motivated, with the clear ambition of securing front-row starting positions and converting strong pace into a top result for the team in Miami.
Friday’s on-track action includes a Rookie Free Practice session, highlighted by the return of Nikita Bedrin at the wheel of the DS E-TENSE FE25. The session will play a crucial role in the team’s preparations, with Bedrin focused on gathering valuable performance and setup data ahead of Saturday’s all-important qualifying and race.
With preparations complete and momentum building, DS PENSKE enters race day with focus and determination.
Don’t miss the action – the race will start at 2:05pm local time this Saturday 31 January, 2026.
Maximilian Günther – DS PENSKE driver
‘Awesome to be racing here in Miami and it’s a spectacular venue to host our home race as a team. It’s certainly a proud moment for me to drive a DS Penske car around the Hard Rock Stadium. The lap is short, with some great racing opportunities and very technical sections. Fine details will decide who ends up at the front. We’re well prepared, arrive with good momentum and all focus is on executing our package to the best. I can’t wait to get in the car.’
Taylor Barnard – DS PENSKE Driver
‘Miami is the team’s home race and that changes the mindset completely. This track demands commitment and precision, and that suits us. We have worked very hard for this weekend and we are coming fully focused. We are here to fight at the front, not to play it safe. With the home crowd behind us, the target is clear: qualify at the front and fight for the win.’
The track – stats:
2.320 km track length
14 Turns
