Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – DS PENSKE arrives in Saudi Arabia for Rounds 4 and 5 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, set to take place this weekend at the spectacular Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The event marks Formula E’s second appearance in Jeddah, while also making history as the first double-header of the 2026 season, with two highly anticipated night races staged under the Arabian sky.
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit presents a unique challenge for the 22 drivers on the grid. While the 3.0-kilometre layout and its 19 corners encourage high speeds and close racing, the dusty track surface, typical of the region, is expected to evolve significantly over the weekend, reducing grip—particularly in the early sessions.
Combined with hot daytime temperatures and the dry Arabian climate, conditions will test both driver precision and car setup before cooler night-time air brings another shift in balance.
Friday’s race will add a further layer of complexity with the introduction of Pit Boost, placing an even greater emphasis on strategy, energy management and execution in an environment where grip and conditions are constantly changing.
Building on encouraging momentum from recent rounds, Taylor Barnard and Maximilian Günther head into the weekend fully focused on converting strong pace into tangible results. The team has been working relentlessly behind the scenes, placing particular emphasis on qualifying performance, with the clear objective of starting from the front rows and controlling the race from the outset.
With a demanding double-header format, evolving track conditions and the unique atmosphere of night racing, Jeddah promises to be a key moment in the season.
DS PENSKE is determined to rise to the challenge and fight at the front across both races.
Don’t miss the action – the race will start at 8:05pm local time this Friday 13th and Saturday 14th  February, 2026.
Maximilian Günther – DS PENSKE driver
‘Jeddah holds brilliant memories for me from last year, where I took my first pole position and race win as a DS PENSKE driver. Night races are always special and this track is certainly one of the highlights of the season – fast, flowing and technical.
We have the first double header of the year ahead of us, hot conditions and one pitboost race. Lots of things to look forward to. We have full trust in our qualities and can’t wait to get started.’

Taylor Barnard – DS PENSKE Driver
‘Jeddah is a track I really enjoy and one that brings good memories to me. This circuit suited me well last year and achieving two podiums was a special moment, but that’s in the past now.
Jeddah is also a circuit where a lot of things come together very quickly. With the dusty surface, changing grip levels and the addition of Pit Boost, race management and execution will be key.Â
We know how important qualifying is here, because starting at the front helps you stay out of trouble and control the race. with the work the team has done, the goal is to manage the strategy cleanly, avoid incidents and fight for podium.’
