On Saturday December 7, the city of São Paulo will welcome the third edition of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, marking the first time Brazil has hosted the Formula E season opener. The 2.93 kilometre Sambadrome features a dynamic mix of two extremes: Long straights and tight corners. Situated in one of city’s largest outdoor venues, the Anhembi Sambadrome promises plenty of action. Thunderstorms are common around this time of year, adding an extra thrill to the weekend for the thousands of fans in attendance.

After countless hours spent testing in the race simulator, The DS PENSKE Formula E Team is ready to take on the competition. No stone has been left unturned to maximize performance and claim more victories.

Behind the wheels of the DS E-TENSE FE25, the race will see the two-time Formula E champion Jean-Éric Vergne, one of the most accomplished drivers in the Series’ history, joined by German racing driver Maximilian Günther, renowned for his offensive style. With one of the strongest driver lineups, the team is poised to score valuable points and claim trophies, setting the tone for a thrilling and competitive season ahead.

I cannot believe that we are already kicking off Season 11, and starting it in São Paulo makes ir even more special. Sambadrome is such a unique and demanding track, with its long straights and sharp corners testing both the cars and the drivers. Tyre management will be the deciding factor here, so getting the balance right will be critical. The team has worked incredibly hard to prepare, and I know every team will be going all out to start strong. With the cheers of the Brazilian fans and the challenges this circuit brings, it is shaping up to be an exciting Round 1!’
