Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – DS PENSKE is set to take on the challenge of Rounds 3 and 4 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season 11 at the stunning Jeddah Corniche Circuit, marking the series’ debut in the coastal city. Returning to Saudi Arabia, this highly anticipated event will feature two thrilling night races on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 of February, under the lights of this one-of-the-kind venue.

Jeddah’s fast, flowing circuit, measuring 3.001 km with 19 turns, will provide a new test for drivers and teams alike, with its unique combination of high-speed corners and technical sections. Adding to the excitement, the weekend will see the introduction of the all-new Pit Boost, a strategic element set to shake up race strategies and deliver even more electrifying competition. Pit Boost will be implemented in only one of the two races in double-header events, specifically in Round 3 (Friday). It will provide a 10% additional energy boost (+3.85kWh energy charged at 600kW, delivered in 34 seconds in a stationary pit). This will have a significant impact on strategy and could spice up the standard course of the race.

Ahead of the double-header, a special Free Practice 0 (FP0) session on Thursday will give rookie drivers the opportunity to gain valuable track time and help the teams optimize car performance and evaluate setup options.

With momentum building in the early stages of the season, DS PENSKE is ready to push the limits and fight for strong results in this historic first outing in Jeddah. The squad has shown a strong presence during the qualifying sessions in Brazil and Mexico, consistently delivering impressive performances and working hard to secure front row starts for both drivers Jean-Éric Vergne and Maximilian Günther.

• Thursday: FP0 Rookie Practice at 18h00 local time
• Friday: Round 3 – Night Race (with Pit Boost) starting at 20h05 local time

Jean-Éric Vergne, DS PENSKE Driver – 2018 & 2019 Formula E Champion
“Very thrilled to be racing in Jeddah for the first time. It is a fast and technical circuit, which should make for some great racing, especially under the lights. The introduction of Pit Boost in Round 3 adds another layer of strategy, and we will need to be sharp to maximize our performance. We have had some solid qualifying performances so far this season, but we haven’t always been lucky with the timing of Attack Mode during the races, which impacted our final results. This weekend, we are focused on making sure we convert our strong pace into the results I know we are capable of achieving.’

Maximilian Günther – DS PENSKE driver

‘It‘s great to be racing here in Jeddah. Night races are always something very special and the track layout looks great. It offers a good mixture of fast and flowing sections, as well as tight chicanes, typical for Formula E. We prepared really well in the past couple of weeks and arrive here in good shape. The pitstop race on Friday is a nice addition and will mix things up, giving strategy a key role to the race. I really look forward to race here under the Arabian sky.’
