DS PENSKE finishes third at the Team Championship and scores a solid 14th points after the weekend’s doubleheader around the iconic ExCeL track in London. The Team finished today’s London E-Prix with Jean-Éric Vergne in P5 and Stoffel Vandoorne in 8th position.

Round 15 – On Saturday, the iconic ExCeL London circuit hosted round 15 of Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. As expected on this unique indoor-outdoor track, with tight and technical corners, there was plenty of action.

Starting 5th on the grid with his DS E-TENSE FE23, Jean-Ēric Vergne had the opportunity to score valuable points in the Drivers’ Championship. Unfortunately, the 2-time Formula E Champion, was involved in two separate incidents which left him and the team unable to capitalize on this opportunity. This ended all hopes of a good result, and despite a strong performance throughout the race, the Frenchman finished 17th.

Teammate Stoffel Vandoorne started quite far down on the grid but made the most of his DS E-TENSE FE23 to deliver a strong comeback drive through the field and break into the top 10, eventually scoring points for 9th place.

Round 16 – The team showcased remarkable performance and resilience in today’s eventful race, overcoming numerous challenges and delivering strong results.

Both drivers, Jean-Éric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne, advanced through to the duels. JEV secured a starting position in P6, while Stoffel started in P7 continuing a season of strong qualification results.

The race was marked by intense contacts and drama, testing the drivers’ skill and composure.

JEV and Stoffel expertly managed their energy, navigating through the chaos and avoiding major incidents. Their strategic and cautious approach paid off, with JEV finishing in P5 and Stoffel securing P8, both earning valuable points for the team.

After competing 16 races across 10 countries, the curtain has closed in London on an exciting and action-packed season. The team with its partner DS Automobiles finished 3rd in the team standing.

DS PENSKE would like to congratulate Pascal Wehrlein and the Tag Heuer Porsche Formula E Team for their well-deserved 2023/2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Driver Champion Title, Jaguar TCS Racing for their Teams Championship and Porsche for their Manufacturers Championship.

Jay Penske,

“First I have to thank DS and the entire team for a remarkable effort this year. With all the changes that have taken place at the team, I am really pleased with how well it has all come together and very proud of the group of people we have assembled at Penske Autosport. I have to also say a big thank you to JEV for his efforts this year putting in some fantastic drives.’

Jean-Éric Vergne, 2018 and 2019 Formula E World Champion:

“We can be very proud of what we have achieved in this championship year. It’s obviously a big amount of progress compared to last year. I’m also satisfied with my season personally, as it has been more consistent than last year. On the whole I think I’ve done a better job. That gives me confidence for next season as I know that hard work always pays off. Now we have to continue down this road that we have started and I’m sure that we will be able to fight for victory in the championship.”

Stoffel Vandoorne, 2022 Formula E World Champion:

“We have made sure of third place in the teams championship, which was our main objective for this race. The second day was clearly better than the first, with both cars qualifying for the duels. Once more the race was a bit chaotic but we managed to get the job done by coming through it all. As a result we scored two more points to finish off the weekend and the season.”
